| When: | Third Thursday and/or fourth Wednesday of the month |

This group has re-formed under new leadership. The new leaders have selected the third Thursday and/or fourth Wednesday of the month to have regular ambles and there will also possibly be other ad hoc days which they or alternative volunteer walk leaders can lead.
We will try and keep ambles fairly local with 2 to 4 miles being the normal amble length. There may be occasional ambles further afield. We try to minimize hills but sometimes it is not possible to eliminate them all together in which case a note will be made in the description of the amble.
These ambles will be taken at a gentle but not a slow pace. However, we will stop at intervals to make sure the whole group is still with us. The idea is to help maintain our fitness, as well as enjoying the countryside, interesting places and companionship.
You will need, as a minimum, good country walking shoes/boots. For the wetter weather waterproofs or possibly an umbrella.
At present we are not charging a membership fee.
We will endeavour to produce a programme of ambles, a version of which will be added to this webpage as well as being emailed to members. Those not on email can pick up a copy at a Citadel Meeting. Please email or phone to book your place on an amble, giving your name and mobile number (or landline if you don’t have a mobile). If you subsequently find you cannot attend please phone or email so that the group is not waiting for you.
If you are interested in joining this group, you can email us by clicking on the blue text next to "Group leader" on the left. This will open up a screen that will let you write your message.
