The second book club was started in March 2015 in order to provide more places for interested members. We meet on the third Monday of each month from 2 pm - 4 pm. Like the first book club we meet in each other's houses, and have found 8 people a comfortable number to accommodate in terms of inside space, parking, and discussion.

Since we first met, members have chosen an eclectic mix of books, and in order to maintain focus, we try to discuss specific aspects, such as style, plot, and characterisation etc. We rate the book out of 10 following discussion, and decide whether we feel any award given to the author is in our view justified. It is fascinating hearing other people's views on any particular book, and I remain very aware that there are bound to be conflicting views which must be respected. I like to think that this is a "no fear group".

We normally warmly welcome new members, at the present time there are no vacancies.
