Meetings take place on alternate Thursdays from 10am-12pm and are held at the home of one of the members.  Members take it in turns to lead.

The format is flexible; we sometimes start with a given subject to discuss, we read in French and translate, play a game to practise and improve our vocabulary and are open to new ideas. The aim of the group is to encourage one another to improve and use our skills to speak the language.

I would say we are at an intermediate level; some having reached A level many years ago, another has lived in Switzerland and another in France, so we converse fairly easily in French, but may not always be grammatically correct. But we have fun learning together!
