When: On Monday afternoons

We meet every Monday (except public holidays and the month of August) at 2.30 pm at Members' homes in the local area. From time to time, we visit a local Spanish restaurant for lunch.

Our aim is to maintain and improve skills in conversing, reading and writing in Spanish and to enable members to 'get by' in Spain.

We have worked through several text books with CDs. We’re currently working through a book of short stories, with an audio version. To ring the changes, we also use newspaper, magazine articles and DVDs.

Members need: prior knowledge of the language, a personal copy of the current’ text-book and a Spanish/English dictionary.

We are a friendly, self-help group, with mixed experience with the language. Group members have either done Spanish at school, evening or previous U3A Spanish classes, have lived in Spain, or have relatives living in Spanish speaking countries.

There are currently 8 in the group. It would be difficult to grow beyond this due to the venues used and the need for each person to participate.

The group is currently full, but a ‘Waiting List’ is available.

If you are interested you can contact the Group Leader by clicking on the blue text next to "Group Leader" at the left of this page. This opens up a new screen where you can type and send your message.
