The Lawn Bowls group meet every Wednesday at Fordbridge Park Bowls Club at 10am, from the last week of April 2025 until the end of September 2025.
Our aim is to provide you with an introduction to the game along with a few basic rules. The main objective for this group is for the participants to have some fun while improving their lawn bowls game.
To protect our green we will ask you to wear flat soled shoes. We can provide you with bowls, but If you have your own set please bring them along.
If you find you are enjoying the sessions and would like to move on and play in our club’s friendly and league games then this can be arranged, along with extra coaching.
Many of the Lawn Bowls group have joined Fordbridge Park Bowls Club as full and social members. The full members have been playing in friendly and league games as well as internal and external club competitions. It is also good to report that a number of players from the U3A group now have their name on the Fordbridge Park BC Honours Board
The continued success of the Lawn Bowls Group, now in its fifth year, is due to the friendly help and support given from the group and Fordbridge Park Bowls Club members
Each participant’s first session will be free and subsequent sessions will be £5
