Book Club 1 meets in members’ homes on the first Thursday of the month.  From May to September, we meet from 7 - 9 pm, and between October and April we meet from 2 - 4 pm.

We take it in turn to choose the book for the month and read a wide range of fiction, often by contemporary writers, but it might also be an old favourite, or simply a book one never got round to reading.  The person who chose the book guides the discussion, but there is plenty of help to be found online with background information on the author, and actual lists of suggested questions.  We always enjoy a lively and open discussion of any themes and issues raised in the book. 

Because we take it in turn to host at home, numbers are limited. Interested members should get in touch and, if there is no current vacancy, leave their contact details.
