The Walking Group Annual Lunch is to be held once again at The Three Horseshoes (25 Shepperton Road, Laleham, Staines, Middlesex, TW18 1SE) at 1pm on Wednesday March 4th.

There will be a choice of a two-course or three-course menu, respectively priced at £27.95 or £32.95

There will be a short, leisurely, just-over-three-mile walk before lunch, leaving The Three Horseshoes at 11.15am. We will walk around the edge of Laleham Park and down to the river. We will then follow the river for a while before stopping for a DIY coffee break in an area where there are plenty of benches and picnic tables. After that, we'll walk to Penton Hook Lock (where there are toilets - hopefully not out of order like last year!) and then retrace our steps for a while before cutting back through Blacksmith's Lane and round to The Three Horseshoes.

For those wanting a longer walk, you can join the group at 10.15am at the river side of The Slug and Lettuce in Staines to walk to The Three Horseshoes. There is the option of walking back after lunch or catching the 458 bus back to Staines station (14.31, 15.01, 15.31, 16.01, 16.33). 

Please note that the footpaths are liable to be muddy unless we have a really dry spell - if only! - so it might be as well to take a change of footwear for the pub or use shoe covers.

There is parking at the pub which can be used early for the walk but wherever possible please share cars or park in nearby roads so that we don't take over the whole car park.
