Route: Syon Lane Station to Richmond Station taken at an easy pace. The start is from Syon Lane Station at 10:00. The walk is through Syon Park stopping for coffee and the toilets. Continuing through Old Isleworth crossing the River Thames at the Half Tide Bridge to Richmond Bridge. From there we return via Richmond Station (the option to continue to Twickenham has been removed).
Please note: The weather in July could be HOT so please bring plenty to drink.
Meet: Syon Lane Station at 10:00
Travel: Either meet the walk leader and the group at Ashford station at 09.25 for the 09.36 train going to London Waterloo via Hounslow or any other station for the SWR train arriving at Syon Lane at 09.52. Purchase an Off-Peak Single ticket to Syon Lane and an Off-Peak Single ticket from Richmond for your return.
Use your Senior Railcard, if you have one. If you don’t have a Senior Railcard, you can buy a discounted ticket by travelling with two other walkers.
When signing-up for this walk please include your mobile number and whether you have a Senior Railcard or not. If you would like to join a group of three for a discounted ticket without a Railcard please include that option.
