This event was originally planned for 20th July as the Swan Upping is normally on the third Monday of the month. However for some reason, this year it is to be held on the 13th July. For details see the link here: https://www.royalswan.co.uk

Apparently the timing can be very uncertain, so even though the activity at Penton Hook Lock will nominally be at 12.30pm on the 13th, we have been advised to assemble there at around 11.30am, to try and get a space both for parking the cars and also to get a decent view at the lock.

The suggested parking place is somewhere along Riverway or The Ryde (near to TW18 2SL - see map below) and it is a very short walk through a pathway that leads to the river and lock.
